Soprano Julie Makerov makes her company debut as the weaker-willed sister, Chrysothemis, but she is hardly spineless. Her voice is the show’s biggest, slicing through even the thickest orchestral lava as she yearns for a simpler life with a husband and kids. (Something eles I learned afterward: Makerov is seven-months pregnant. Her baby got an earful.)
